As Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Suraj Nekram is responsible for the strategic direction of the company and for defining and executing the company’s vision and goals. Suraj is a visionary and has identified a major product gap in the market for which he has set out to solve. With the creation of Inpensa Business Case management (BCM) Platform, Suraj and team are transforming the way organizations make investment decisions and are making their customers achieve greater competitiveness.
Prior to co-founding Inpensa, Suraj co-founded SteelGlass Consulting where he pioneered an industry best practice in Financial Transparency and Cost Optimization for Fortune 500 companies. Suraj has spent many years in enterprise as a Finance and Transformation Executive. He was Senior Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and served in many leadership capacities at both the divisional and corporate levels.
He is known as a change agent and someone who inspires others to reach their maximum potential. Suraj also held leadership roles at Merrill Lynch, EBS (ICAP) and other leading institutions. He has a BA in Biology & Economics from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University.
Suku Sukumar is an accomplished product management executive and user experience leader offering proven ability to capitalize on leading-edge technologies to innovate, conceptualize, and build, enterprise-level software products. At Inpensa, he is responsible for the product strategy, innovation, and management of their SaaS-based flagship product, Business Case Management (BCM) Suite®.
Suku has come to Inpensa from Path Solutions, where he, as EVP of Product Engineering, oversaw the 200+ global staff with diverse culture and ethnicity. He was responsible for the technology roadmap for Islamic Banking suite of products and was deeply involved in defining the transition plan for moving Bank of Muamalat, Malaysia toward a $21M high-availability Islamic banking solution.
Before Path, he oversaw the NJ branch operations for MAXIMUS Educational Division and was fully responsible for their end-to-end special education case management solution – from product development to implementation and ongoing support. There, he played an instrumental role in procuring the $54M special education implementation award from New York City Board of Education (NYC BoE).
Prior to MAXIMUS, Suku was at Ithaka, a start-up not-for-profit organization funded by Andrew M. Mellon Foundation. He led the architecture and design of the multi-terabyte archive for preserving scholarly content, formulated the archival policies and established operational processes for preservation of content for future generation. Over 4 million articles ingested and preserved in the very first year of the operations!
Suku has over 30 years of demonstrated track record and proven work experience in finance, healthcare, telecom, and software industries. He holds a PMP certificate and a master’s degree in Computer Science and Business Management from National Institute of Technology, India.
As Chief Financial Officer, Shavi Gupta is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial and corporate functions. Shavi works closely with the executive management team to formulate and drive the strategic objectives of the company and brings over 15 years of financial management experience.
Prior to Inpensa, Shavi was driving the cross-functional Financial Project Controller role at Alcatel-Lucent. Shavi also held leadership roles at Merrill Lynch, Citigroup and Warner Brothers. Shavi started her career at a tech startup, Commvault, now a publicly traded software company. Shavi obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Computer Science from Monmouth University and an MBA in Finance & Strategy from Rutgers University.
As VP of Engineering, Xi Zhang is responsible for the technical leadership, product development, engineering efficiencies, and hosting operations of our state-of-the-art SaaS-based Business Case Management solution.
Prior to joining Inpensa, Xi proved himself as an accomplished technology leader at Cisco Systems, building and leading a global engineering team which provided high-performance web services for the analytic products as part of the Cisco Advanced Services Smart Analytics Platform. As a pioneer in implementing Big Data for Enterprise BI platform, his team scaled one of the earliest SOLAR clusters in Silicon Valley from a single node to 50+ nodes.
Xi fell in love with programming and computer science when he received an 80386 computer for his tenth birthday and has spent over 20 years developing his skills. Xi holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco and BS in Mathematics from Peking University.
As VP of Global Sales, Scott Grisanti is responsible for leading the sales team by building relationships with customers and our growing alliance partner network globally. In leadership roles for more than 25 years, Scott has been instrumental in driving customer value and company growth across a variety of software categories and target industry segments.
His experience ranges from early stage organizations to management of $200m in revenue with a global team of 250 professionals. Prior to Inpensa, Scott served as Managing Partner for Lenox-Monmouth Advisors, providing go-to-market, corporate development, and sales execution services to a range of SaaS and technology-enabled early/mid-stage companies. Scott’s many previous leadership roles have included serving as EVP—Sales Marketing and Services at Primavera Systems, EVP—Sales, Marketing and Alliances at eResearch Technology, COO at Prometheus Group, and SVP—Consumer Industries Sales at Kony Solutions.
Scott has extensive experience driving strategic impact for large, global customers through the adoption and implementation of focused software solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
