The Inside Salesperson is a key role in Inpensa generating qualified leads for our Enterprise Business Value Management Software and Professional Services. The candidate will play a pure hunter role by unearthing new business opportunities within targeted prospective customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop qualified sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential target customers; soliciting new accounts; building rapport and by providing technical information and explanations.

  • Work collaboratively with the VP of Global Sales to generate leads, qualify opportunities and schedule initial meetings and demonstrations for the direct sales force.

  • Generate leads through outbound cold-calling and calling on marketing-generated and inbound leads.

  • Use social media including LinkedIn as well as other marketing outreach campaigns to focus on filling the Inpensa Sales funnel with qualified opportunities and initial discovery meetings.

  • Direct responsibility and management of lead generation strategies, prospecting plan execution, contact, qualification and development for gaining viable new accounts.

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Inpensa’s product line and value proposition.

  • Provide weekly accurate approved meeting forecasts to the sales organization.

  • Meet monthly and quarterly meeting objectives.

  • Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.

  • Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.


This position requires on-site presence at our Edison, New Jersey location.

Desired Skills

  • Consistent track record for meeting and exceeding lead generation and sales objectives.

  • Strong hunter profile with a proven track record of success generating highly qualified enterprise level SaaS / Software and Services leads.

  • Proven talent for making effective initial calls to target companies and the ability to develop relationships from a cold call or networking activity.

  • 2+ years of sales software experience, preferably at an enterprise software company selling SaaS / Cloud applications.

  • An extraordinary drive to pursue opportunities within the target customer.

  • Exceptional ability to motivate and influence key contacts and decision makers.

  • Experience calling into Fortune 1000 accounts at CXO and Director level.

  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment, and professionalism.

  • Discipline to maintain high call volumes.

  • Must be confident, persistent, action-oriented, results-driven and self-motivated.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
